This ultra-small form factor computer converts serial signals into an Ethernet-based IP format. Frequently used in ISR applications where technology upgrades have been difficult to fund or lack sufficient volume to add hardware, the RE2800 converts legacy data formats into a standard protocol for consolidation and processing.
The system can be configured to act as a bridge between legacy serial devices and an IP network, a low-power firewall between two networks, or other IP-to-IP or serial-to-IP applications. The compliment of input and output can easily be altered to accommodate additional applications by modifying the carrier making the base platform modular.
